Prior to joining the Department of Revenue, Lionelle held positions with the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Community Correction, and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. Lionelle has also worked for a number of nonprofit organizations, including Promising Futures — a homeless shelter for young adults; as a social worker for Big Sisters Association of Greater Boston; and as a youth counselor for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South.
“When I was a teenager, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South was my ultimate hangout spot. The Club offered me a safe space where I could meet up with my friends, play basketball, run around freely, and even enjoy a free meal. When I became a Club employee, I learned valuable professional lessons that continue to guide me to this day. The Club taught me how to manage a busy schedule, build and maintain relationships with community members, communicate effectively with peers, other Club members, and parents, and, most importantly, how to be an integral part of a team"
