Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South is fueled by a critical mission "to nurture strong minds, healthy bodies and community spirit through youth-driven, high-impact programming in safe and fun environments" to ensure that every child in our community has a positive place to spend their out-of-school time hours.
We hold an intrinsic belief that
every child deserves an equal chance to pursue the American Dream, to have a genuine opportunity to realize their unique and full potential to achieve a truly great future.
BGCMS is guided by our vision
to ensure the greatest possible impact of our programs on the long-term positive trajectories of our members’ lives.
Our vision can only be realized by maintaining lifelong relationships with Club alumni to support them after high school, utilizing data to better understand and evidence the impacts of our programs, and through efforts to increase community awareness of Club resources to ensure and increase the accessibility of our programs.

Inclusion at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South
BGCMS invites ALL to contribute their talents and meaningfully participate in the active building of a Movement for our members, staff, and engaged stakeholders that celebrates individuality and fosters a sense of belonging. We will actively identify opportunities to act on youth voice and the needs and desires of the communities we serve to ensure that membership at our Clubs is open and welcoming to all those seeking Great Futures.
Who & How We Serve
Through a combination of after-school, weekend, and summer camp programs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South serves boys and girls from infancy through young adulthood at our Brockton and Taunton Clubhouses, Camp Riverside, and at several extension sites throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
Among our current school year membership, 47% self-identify as Black (African American, Haitian, Cape Verdean, etc.), 26% self-identify as Multiracial, 12% self-identify as Hispanic, 11% self-identify as Caucasian, and 4% self-identify as Other.
Our Brockton and Taunton Clubhouses are each located in areas with CDI (Community Disadvantage Index) ratings of 10 out of a maximum of 10.
Our communities are filled with creative, driven, and bright kids. But too often, there are roadblocks on their paths towards a great future. Our Clubs play a crucial role in intercepting generational cycles and breaking down systemic barriers - inspiring our boys and girls, raising expectations, and providing them with support and opportunity, to ensure they can succeed, regardless of their life circumstances.
Families in our region too often face the difficult task of having to cut ‘extras’ from their budget, which can include after-school programs and enrichment activities for their children.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South provides accessible, inclusive, safe, and enriching places where boys and girls can just be kids while they play, learn, and grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
Our memberships are FREE to all youth - ensuring that great futures are within reach for every child!
