Volunteer Your Time
Volunteering can take many forms, from participating in a group clean up day, to contributing your talents at a Clubhouse event, or lending a hand in our Freight Farms, there's something for everyone. Engaging your employees in volunteer opportunities not only enriches the lives of our youth but also builds teamwork and camaraderie, all while demonstrating your organization's commitment to community impact.

Benefits of Volunteering
Are you looking to make a difference in the community with your colleagues? We offer several corporate volunteer opportunities that will not only help you give back, but also build teamwork and unity within your organization. Volunteering is a great way to get out of the office and spend the day immersed at one of our Clubs!
We welcome groups from corporations and other organizations to help enhance our programming and facilities. Group volunteer experiences provide meaningful, productive team-building opportunities while fulfilling a need at one of our Clubhouse or Camp locations. Volunteer group projects include clean up days, supporting Club events, hosting Club members at your headquarters, or hosting a school or seasonal supplies drive.

Senior Tax Work-Off Program
What is the Tax Work-Off Program for Volunteers?
Massachusetts law allows cities and towns to establish property tax work-off programs so eligible homeowners can volunteer in their community in exchange for a reduction in their property tax bill, generally up to $1,500 per year. There are two main types, the Senior Citizen Tax Work-Off (for ages 60+) and the Veterans Tax Work-Off (for veteran homeowners)!
What does this look like in Taunton?
The program runs from July 1st - November 30th with applications being accepted from April 1 through June 30th. The program offers various jobs, matching seniors’ skills with city needs to benefit both seniors and the city!
What does this look like in Brockton?
The Senior Property Tax Work-Off Program offers qualified senior homeowners the opportunity to provide volunteer services to the City of Brockton in exchange for a property tax bill reduction of up to $1,500.00 per fiscal year. Available positions at City Hall, Brockton Public Schools, Brockton Community Access Cable, Brockton Public Libraries, and other municipal offices in Brockton.
How to get involved?
For application forms and specific instructions, contact the Taunton Council on Aging or the Assessor’s Office, and the Brockton Council on Aging!
