Goal Three

Programming Enhancement & Effectiveness

Our programs impact thousands of youth every year throughout our Metro South region.

We pride ourselves on our excellence, nimbleness, and responsiveness as we continue to serve more youth, more deeply, in more settings, over longer periods of time.

Goal Three Objectives:

In achieving this goal and its objectives, we will:

Build a resilient suite of programs to meet both the timeless and changing needs of youth

Lead our Movement in deploying the expanded Formula for Impact to fuel great futures

Understand where we’re missing opportunities to connect with youth and address those gaps

Engage youth in meaningful experiences and opportunities we’re uniquely positioned to provide

  • Year 1 Accomplishments | 2024-2025

Expanded year-round leadership and development and mentorship opportunities for our BGCMS Youth of the Year and both the Brockton and Taunton Clubhouse Jr. Youths of the Year.

Implemented an enhanced “Culture of Care” approach to behavior management and identified areas where a trauma-informed approach can be further integrated.

NYOI (National Youth Outcomes Initiative) 2024 Survey Highlights:

    • 94% of BGCMS members stated that when they see someone in need, they try to help!
    • 80% of BGCMS members stated that when they have a problem, they work to figure out a solution!
    • 80% of BGCMS Teens reported holding a paid job or internship in the past 12 months, and 60% of those  opportunities were provided by the Club!
    • 80% of BGCMS members reported eating fruits and/or vegetables on a daily basis, compared to just 48% of 5 to 18-year-olds across the country.
  • Year 2 Priorities | 2025-2026

Implement weekly “Member Check-Ins” for members who have been absent from the Clubhouse for 3 consecutive days. Develop additional communication strategies (i.e., text messages or emails) to conduct check-ins.

Implement Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles across 2-3 defined high-priority program stacks.

Administer NYOI with a 10% increase in participant satisfaction scores and a 10% increase in positive youth outcomes, as measured by NYOI indicators.

Identify additional tools to gauge Club member attitudes/satisfaction in real-time and utilize them to support Optimal Club Experience.

Assess and identify BGCMS staff as prospective NTI candidates.

Operate elevated Keystone Club and Torch Club service learning programs to foster youth leadership, civic engagement, and community involvement

Explore emerging program designs that are advancing the youth development landscape, with a specific focus on apprenticeships and additional youth development best practices for ages 19-24.

Continue collaborative partnerships with Clubs throughout the Metro South region. Explore and build consensus on collaborative opportunities to support efficiency and increased impact on youth.
